We had three great audiences this week with 89 on Thursday, 138 on Friday, and 114 on Saturday. Still no sellouts, but the show is fantastic IMHO. For me, this week was marred only my inability to sing the plural form of "idiot" during "Corrupt Bargain" for two shows and the feeling that I had a huge booger in my nose during my inauguration monologue one night (a quick check backstage afterward assured me that it was too high up to see, whew!). This week also was notable for the incredible high note that John Sparger has started singing at the end of "Saddest Song." Wow!!!
Postseason baseball has a habit of keeping audiences away from fall theatre shows, but BBAJ is so short (90 minutes) that you can still see the end of each game, so no excuses to not see this fierce show!!! (Even the cast watched the Cardinals clinch a spot at the NL championship at the Royale on Friday night! Go Cards!!!)
