John Sparger was outstanding as Andrew Jackson and he was on fire during the last show, even throwing the phone during the final scene in the White House. Here's the last video that I recorded from the stage during "Public Life:"
This has definitely been the most rewarding experience I've ever had in the theatre. I have a newfound love for the show and the cast was absolutely amazing to work with, each and every one of them. And, we couldn't have done it without Scott Miller, our fearless leader! I really wasn't ready for the run to be over with in any way (that's a first!) and was so sad after the closing night cast party. Fortunately, I couldn't afford to dwell on it for long given the fact that I ran my first half marathon the next morning and then had to pack and catch a plane for Chicago.
This ends my writing about the show, but check back soon for a report on the new seasons from Steppenwolf, the Goodman, and Chicago Shakespeare!
